Things to do Around Ortho Dynamics
We know our patients come from all around the province and may not be familiar with our neighbourhood, which is why we want to share some things you can do and places you can visit in the area. Whether you are early for an appointment, needing to find something to eat, or just want to explore while you are here, there are quite a few things you can check out.
Just one block West of Ortho Dynamics is Beaconsfield Park. It is located behind the Italian Cultural Centre and has a fun playground and plenty of grass and trees to relax or play on. If you go in the opposite direction from Ortho Dynamics and South down Renfrew Street there is another park called Renfrew Community Park. This Park also has a playground and open fields as well as a wading pool you can enjoy. South of Renfrew Community Park there is the Renfrew Ravine Park. Here there is a short ravine trail and creek boardwalk you can wander through. There are also the "Colour Me Local Dye Gardens" at the North end of the park that you can explore.
At the South end of Renfrew Community Park there is a community centre with a pool and fitness centre that are open to everyone. In addition, beside the Renfrew Community Centre there is a Vancouver Public Library that you can also check out.
If you are looking for a café there is a Starbucks, Tim Hortons, and a Café Artesano just a block up on Renfrew Street. Within that area there are quite a few places you could go to grab a quick meal. Freshii is a great option if you are looking for a salad or protein bowl, and the Sushi Royal House has plenty of Japanese food as well as some Korean dishes you can takeout or eat in house. There is also a McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Subway, Boston Pizza, Wendy's, and Triple O's within a short distance East of our clinic.
We are also aware that some of you drive quite far distances to get here so if you are low on gas there is a Chevron station in the next block just East of Ortho Dynamics, and if you drive an electric vehicle there is a FLO charging station behind the Starbucks at the corner of Renfrew Street and Hebb Avenue.
